I used the Zest portal because it is a 'Which?' recommended business.
Thrifty upgraded us to an SUV when we arrived in Halifax at no extra cost to us.

On arrival Alamo offered us a free upgrade which we were happy to accept…..we were told the in-car GPS wasn’t set up.
We paid for an Alamo supplied GPS which only worked when in local area’s.
Fortunately I had use of my cell phone Google Mapping.
But after a few days I thought to try in-car GPS only to find it was actually set up.
On arrival back at Alamo to hand over car I explained all to customer service desk who responded very efficiently.
Apologies & refunded the cost of GPS.
Alamo will continue to be my first choice for car rental.

I booked a car for Halifax, Nova Scotia, through Zest. The car was provided locally through Alamo, who were superb. Returning the car was incredibly straightforward and quick - I commented to my wife that I was astonished how quick it was.
The car was clean and tidy - rather more so than my own car at home! - and served our party of 4 very well indeed.
In short, we were very pleased with the service we received from Zest and Alamo, and we would certainly use Zest again at other destinations (as we have done in the past).
