ClubZest Terms and Conditions

  1. 1. THESE TERMS
  2. 1.1 These Terms apply to your membership of our loyalty scheme ClubZest. Please read these Terms carefully as they contain important information, including:
    1. 1.1.1 how you can sign-up to ClubZest and become a member;
    2. 1.1.2 the benefits you’ll receive as part of your membership;
    3. 1.1.3 how you can earn points and for how long they’ll be valid; and
    4. 1.1.4 how you, or we, may bring your membership to an end.
  3. 2. BECOMING A MEMBER
  4. 2.1 There are two ways you can sign-up to become a member:
    1. 2.1.1 via your Zest account at https://www.zestcarrental.com/my-account/; or
    2. 2.1.2 during the booking process when booking car rental through us.
  5. 2.2 Once you have signed-up to become a member, we will send you a welcome email at which point you will become a member of ClubZest.
  6. 3. BENEFITS
  7. 3.1 The benefits you’ll receive as a member of ClubZest are as set out at https://www.zestcarrental.com/club-zest/ (Benefits). In addition, from time to time we may email you with other exclusive member-only offers.
  8. 3.2 We may change or vary the Benefits from time to time. If we do this, we will give you as much advance notice as we reasonably can. If you don’t like the changes we are proposing, you can bring your membership to an end (see paragraph 7).
  9. 4. POINTS
  10. 4.1 As a member, you will earn points as set out in the table below.

    Referring a friend or family member to us (see paragraph 5) 25 points when your friend makes a booking with us
  11. 4.2 Points will be allocated to your ClubZest account:
    1. 4.2.1 if earned from making a car rental booking with us, from the date that the booking was made, and will be valid for a period of 24 months from the end of the relevant rental period; and
    2. 4.2.2 if earned from referring a friend or family member, (subject to the terms of paragraph 5) from the point at which your friend or family member makes a booking for car rental with us and will be valid for a period of 24 months.
  12. 4.3 If you make a booking with us, but subsequently cancel that booking, you will not receive any points in respect of that booking. Similarly, if you receive 25 points where a friend or family member you referred to us makes a booking, those points will be cancelled and removed from your account if the friend or family member cancels their booking.
  13. 4.4 You can only use points to unlock the Benefits; there is no cash alternative.
  14. 4.5 Points will automatically be removed from your account on expiry of their validity period (i.e., the 24 month period as set out in paragraph 4.2) and your account points balance will be adjusted accordingly.
  15. 5. REFERRAL SCHEME
  16. 5.1 We operate a referral scheme through which you can refer a friend of family member to us. To make a referral simply provide provide your friend or family member with the unique link set out on the relevant page in your Zest account https://www.zestcarrental.com/my-account/.
  17. 5.2 If your friend or family member follows that link and makes a car rental booking with us, provided they have not previously made a booking with us, both you and they will receive 25 points.
  18. 6. OLD SCHEME
  19. 6.1 ClubZest replaces our previous loyalty scheme. If you become a member of ClubZest, any existing points balance you held under our previous loyalty scheme will be transferred to ClubZest.
  20. 6.2 Any points transferred from our previous loyalty scheme to ClubZest will be subject to their original validity period.
  21. 6.3 From 01 May 2024 you will no longer be able to use any benefits under the old scheme (e.g., if you had a 100 points or more in the old scheme, you will no longer qualify for the 5% discount). However, any points in the old scheme can be transferred to ClubZest if you join ClubZest after this date.
  22. 7. ENDING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
  23. 7.1 You can end your membership of ClubZest at any time in your Zest account on our website at https://www.zestcarrental.com/my-account/.
  24. 7.2 If you ask us to end your membership, we will send you an email confirming when we have done so.
  25. 8. OUR RIGHT TO END YOUR MEMBERSHIP
  26. 8.1 We may end your membership of ClubZest and close your account at any time if you break these Terms, or the terms of any other contract that we and you may enter into (for example, the contract relating to a particular car rental booking).
  27. 9. CLOSING CLUBZEST
  28. 9.1 We may, at our discretion, decide to close ClubZest. If we do this, we will provide you with as much notice as we reasonably can of when ClubZest will be closed.
  29. 9.2 Up until the point at which ClubZest is closed, you will still be able to receive the Benefits.
  30. 10. ENDING YOUR MEMBERSHIP OR CLOSING CLUBZEST
  31. 10.1 If:
    1. 10.1.1 you end your membership (see paragraph 7);
    2. 10.1.2 we end your membership (see paragraph 8); or
    3. 10.1.3 we close ClubZest (see paragraph 9),
  32. 10.2 then:
    1. 10.2.1 your ClubZest account will be closed and all points in it will be cancelled; and
    2. 10.2.2 you will no longer be able to receive the Benefits.
  33. 10.3 For the avoidance of doubt, you will not be due any compensation (in the form of cash or otherwise) in respect of any points you may hold at the point at which your ClubZest account is closed (however it may be close).
  34. 11. PERSONAL DATA
  35. 11.1 How we use any personal data you give us is set out in our Privacy Notice which can be found at https://www.zestcarrental.com/privacy/.
  36. 12. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS
  37. 12.1 These Terms are governed by English law and wherever you live you can bring claims against us in the English courts. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims against us in the courts of the country you live in. We can claim against you in the courts of the country you live in.
  38. 12.2 Your membership of ClubZest, and the points in your account, are personal to you. This means you cannot transfer your membership, or any points, to any other person.
  39. 12.3 We may transfer the operation of ClubZest to a different organisation. If we do this, we will ensure that the transfer won’t affect the Benefits and your rights under these Terms. If you are unhappy with the transfer, you may bring your membership to an end (see paragraph 7).
  40. 12.4 Nobody other than us and you have any rights under these Terms.
  41. 12.5 If a court invalidates some of these Terms, the rest of them will still apply. If a court or other authority decides that some of these Terms are unlawful, the rest will continue to apply.
  42. 12.6 Even if we delay in enforcing any of these Terms, we can still enforce them later.
