A fresh, honest approach to car rental

Discover Malta.

In the middle of the Mediterranean ocean you'll find the fortress island of Malta. With year-round sunshine and crystal clear waters making it the perfect location for a relaxing holiday, Malta is an appealing destination whatever the season.

Who we work with - Malta

Although the island is relatively compact, it boasts beautiful scenery and many interesting places to visit and a hire car offers the best way to see it all.

Reasons to book with Zest Car Rental

Zest Car Rental provides a fresh approach to hiring a car in Malta. We’ve simplified our booking process so you know exactly what you’re paying for and to make things even better, we don’t charge any amendment or credit card fees.

We have long standing relationships with the suppliers in Malta so you can be assured of great service when you arrive. Our head office in the UK is open 6 days a week and if you need emergency assistance outside of our opening hours, we also operate a 24/7 back up service.

For further peace of mind, we include breakdown assistance through Malta and offer top-up insurance so you can ensure you’re completely covered.

Malta Airport

Due to Malta's small size, there is only one airport; Malta (Luqa) Airport. With regular flights from around Europe, it’s easily reached and is located in the south of the island, approximately 8km from the capital city of Valletta.

Exploring Malta by hire car

Malta is known for its natural beauty and an abundance of history which has caused it to be described as an open-air museum! With plenty to pack into your trip, a rental car is essential to ensure you enjoy all there is to see on this wonderful island. There are ample opportunities for diving and snorkelling, so you’ll get plenty of chances to hone your skills on a visit here.

A trip to a traditional Maltese village such as Mellieha should also provide plenty to see and do, as it is famed for its gorgeous hilltop location surrounded by valleys and numerous caves. There are also some excellent restaurants to be found so time your visit close to a meal time.

Make the most of the gorgeous coastline, both on the main island (discover more about Malta's best beaches here) and the neighbouring island of Gozo.

Although the Azure Window on Gozo is now sadly gone, Dwejra Bay and the Inland Sea are still worth a visit. Diving in the Blue Hole is an extremely popular attraction, along with the alternative arch, Wied il-Mielah Window, near the village of Gharb, and medieval temples of Ggantija.

Take a step back in time with a trip to Mdina, a city simply dripping with impressive architecture and historical anecdotes. There is a huge selection of attractions including the likes of the Cathedral, a natural history museum, galleries, craft shops and more.
