Relax in paradise.

Swimming in the azure waters off the south coast of France and a stone’s throw from the shores of Italy, the isle of Corsica makes for a truly idyllic holiday destination. The stunning mountainous terrain frames the golden sandy beaches and the French and Italian influences work together in perfect harmony.

Attractive towns such as Ajaccio and numerous picturesque villages mould themselves perfectly into the beautiful landscapes meaning there is plenty to be explored. Combined with the delicious cuisine, warming climate, friendly people and a host of activities to enjoy, you will find yourself falling in love with Corsica.

Things to see and do

  • Visit the Les Calanques de Piana and admire the spiny crags and bizarre shapes of the spectacular red granite cliffs that plunge into the ocean below.
  • Explore all of the island Ajaccio. Begin at the museums and make time for a tour of the 15th century citadel during the summer months.
  • The ancient fishing village of Alagojola with its historic quarter and superb beach is the ideal place to spend a day.
  • Step back in history with a tour of the UNESCO listed archaeological site of Cucuruzzu.
  • Make for the imposing Bavella Mountains; drive the narrow pass and strap on your hiking boots for a more personal encounter.
  • Sip on delicious wine from the vineyards near to San Quilico and try to spot Corsica’s smallest Pisan Chapel, measuring just 24m x 10m, hidden amongst the vines.
  • Head to l'Ospedale and cool off in hot weather with a swim in the lake or a dip under the beautiful Piscia-di-Gallu waterfall.
  • Let any worries wash away with a day spent at the beautiful Porticcio beach. Get a dose of culture and see the ruins before enjoying the perfect finale with a meal at one of the many restaurants.
  • Baracci boasts excellent natural thermal springs, providing the perfect opportunity for total indulgence.
  • Travel around and soak up the village atmosphere at Sta Lucie de Tallano, Porto Pollo and Fozzano. Lap up the sunshine and explore the centres and beautiful surroundings on foot.
  • Plunge into the ocean and enjoy the underwater treasures in what is said to be one of the best diving spots that Europe has to offer.
  • Plan a trip to the trendy Porto Vecchio; with its modern marina, history filled old town and unbeatable nightlife you won’t go wrong.
