Where can I hire a car in Madeira?

A relatively small island, Madeira is primarily served by the main airport, Funchal Airport. Due to its popularity, it is often referred to simply as Madeira Airport. Its proximity to the capital Funchal naturally makes it a very convenient choice for tourists and is close to the Tropical Palace Gardens, Botanical Gardens and the famous cable car to Monte.
There is also the small neighbouring island, Porto Santo, which is just a short ferry trip from the mainland. You may opt to fly into Porto Santo Airport on the north east side of the island, hire a car and explore the surrounding areas. You could also plan a day trip or two on Madeira itself.
Whichever airport you land at, there is plenty waiting to be discovered across this beautiful island, affectionately nicknamed the 'Floating Garden of the Atlantic'.
