Skopje’s Old Bazaar is guaranteed to capture your interest and imagination. Marvel at the impressive array of buildings, each architectural wonder has its own tale to tell in the city’s history. Look out for Ottoman mosques, Byzantine domes, Turkish bathhouses, and the most recent addition to the city’s skyline, neoclassical edifices, bridges, and grandiose monuments.
Marvel at the intricate carvings and exquisite interior of one of these buildings at the Daud Pasa Baths. These were once the largest Turkish Hamman in the Balkans but are now home to the National Gallery of Macedonia.

Day Trips From Skopje
Make sure that your first stop is Lake Matka. The scenery is breathtaking, and a visit here provides a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Travel to Vodno Mountain. If you are feeling energetic, climb to the Krstovar Peak where you will find the Millennium Cross. Filled with a variety of flora and fauna, along with some churches and monasteries, the activities and sights here are plentiful.
