Sightseeing in Podgorica
Despite having been subject to a significant amount of bombings in WWII, there are still plentiful old sights to enjoy here. The Old Town is a good place to start and this contains numerous mosques and other Turkish wonders such as Stara Varos.
Head into the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. Start off at Trg Republike, grab a drink and watch the world go by. Why not also locate Rimski Trg which is at the hub of the newer part of the area?
Wander to the impressive Millennium Bridge which spans across the Morača River. Stroll to King Nikola's Castle which is now a museum.

Journey for 90 minutes by car to Tivat, located along the Bay of Kotor. Make sure that you visit the Gallery in Buco's Summerhouse and if you are feeling energetic, hike through the mountains.
Head to Skadarsko Jezero. The National Park area is filled with huge bird reserves and is home to an abundance of flora and fauna which is well worth discovering.
Head to the old Roman settlement, situated just outside of the city at Duklja. Survey the ruins of the fortress of Meteon which is more than 2,300 years old and is certainly a treat for any visitor.
If you are heading here in the winter months, then you should hit the slopes. Zabljak, or the Black Mountain offers three resorts to choose from. Lokve and Kolasin are also good choices. Cross-country skiing is popular and you will certainly find the costs here quite reasonable, which is a bonus.
