Day Trips From Split - Exploring Croatia
Head towards Zadar. Filled with Roman ruins, Byzantine-style churches and 16th Century walls, a trip here is sure to be action packed with plenty to see and do. Once you have had your fill, continue with your journey and visit the famous Plitvice Lakes National Park; it will surely be a highlight of your visit to Croatia.
Make sure your next stop is the town of Makarska, located around 60km away. With a horseshoe shaped bay and a backdrop of the Biokovo Mountain, it's a rather attractive area and is perfect for a day trip. Take a wander around and enjoy the marina.
Sibenik is a great place to visit and is perhaps less well-known than Dubrovnik or Split. Experience the energetic nightlife and stunning architecture which can be found here!
