Who we work with - Zagreb Airport
Unlike many of Croatia's cities, the capital Zagreb isn't located on the coast. This is probably part of the reason that it isn't as popular for holidaymakers as the likes of Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik which welcome thousands of visitors during the summer months. Uncover all it has to offer as well as the joys of the surrounding areas with a rental car.
Things to See and Do in Zagreb
The historic Upper Town should be your first port of call in Zagreb. Start off at the Cathedral, head to the central square Trg Jelacica and then enjoy a drink and watch the world go by in a café in Tkalciceva Street.
Unsurprisingly, there is also a Lower Town that you should explore. Home to the botanical gardens and many museums, you can enjoy an enlightening day here.
There are many parks and natural spaces in Zagreb including Jarun Lake and The Tower of Lotrscak just for starters. Varazdin which was once the Croatian capital itself is also well worth the trip, along with Trakoscan Castle which is close by.
Day Trips From Zagreb
Head to Osijek. Wander down the boulevard along the Drava and relax in the main square. Filled with stunning architecture, you will certainly find plenty to gaze at here.
Consider a trip to Rijeka where you can hit the shops for those all-important souvenirs or experience the energetic nightlife. Home to a Maritime Museum, you can also soak up some more history on your travels too.
Zadar is home to both the Sea Organ and close to the Plitvice Lakes. Characterised by the many waterfalls, caves, and lakes found throughout, Plitvice Lakes National Park is a worthy contender as one of the very best in Europe.
For a relaxed and family friendly day out, drive to Maksimir Park and Zagreb Zoo which offers fun for all ages!Book now
