Relax in Olbia
Head to the centre of Olbia and traverse around this bustling port town. Visit the Church of San Simplico, dating from the 11th Century and view the wonders of the Castello di Pedres.
A visit to Olbia is a great introduction to the wonders of Sardinia. Stop off at one of the many restaurants littered throughout the narrow streets or in the main square and sample some of the traditional Sardinian dishes on offer.

Beaches Near Olbia
This section of coastline does also have its fair share of beaches. Start off at Cala Brandinchi and laze on the golden sand here. This one is easily accessible too so perfect if you have children with you. Drive further up the coast to Spiaggia del Principe which is encompassed by cliffs.
Drive to the tip of the island and locate Spiaggia Rosa. This one is a little more secluded, therefore more challenging to locate but the resulting tranquil beach at the end of your journey makes it worthwhile.
Day Trips From Olbia
Journey for 30 minutes by car and you will find Porto Rotondo. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of the town from a variety of viewpoints over the rocky cliffs.
Travel a little further along the coastline and you will reach Porto Cervo. Relax on one of the many beaches in the area and take a dip in the waters at Liscia Ruja.
Diving in Sardinia
The nearby marine protected areas of Tavolara to Punta Coda Cavallo offer fantastic diving opportunities. Secca del Papa is home to plenty of damselfish and coloured coral too.
Tedja Liscia is also a lovely area to explore, and is packed with sea sponges.
