Plovdiv is encompassed by hilly terrain and offers visitors a fantastic mixture of things to do. Plovdiv Airport is only a 20 minute drive from the city centre, so pick up a hire car and away you go!
The pedestrianised centre of the city means it’s easily explored on foot. The Old Town shares similarities with the Roman Forum and is home to some wonderful architecture including the Roman Stadium, Forum, and Odeon. Alternatively, pay a visit to Bachkovo Monastery or one of Plovdiv’s many excellent museums such as the Ethnographic or Flight Museums.
If you’re looking for something a little different, why not take a trip to Aqualand? Home to a number of swimming pools and water slides, adults and kids alike will enjoy this.
