Cape Greco is at the southern end of Famagusta bay and it is an idyllic spot. For anyone who wants to enjoy some time beside the ocean this is a must. The water here is sublime and the rocky coastline provides the perfect backdrop.
No trip to Famagusta would be complete without a visit to Varosha. This area was fenced off by the Turkish Army following its capture and has stayed this way ever since. Known as a ghost town, everything is exactly as it was left.
There is an array of fascinating areas that are within a short drive of Famagusta, so you can make a variety of great day trips. You can journey to Dipkarpaz, a beautiful town on the end of the Karpass peninsula, which makes for a brilliant day out. Also, you can survey the ancient remains of Aphrendrika or laze on the shores of any of the most wondrous beaches in North Cyprus.
