The large beach is Santo Tomas’ main feature. 3km long, and with shallow waters, it’s great for families looking for a quiet holiday. As you’d expect, there are water activities such as banana boats and pedalos whilst the town has a mini golf course if you fancy a go.
Stroll along the promenade and soak up the atmosphere and the sun; Santo Tomas really does offer a chilled out holiday that’s perfect for recharging. If you have the kids in tow, there are plenty of play areas to keep them occupied along the way. If you are keen to continue a little further, you can embark on a cliff top walk towards Son Bou.
What is There to See in the Area?
Head to Mount Toro. The highest point of the island offers great views of the surrounding area and allows you to easily explore the town of Es Mercadal.
Drive to Cala Galdana and its beautiful bay encompassed by cliffs. If you fancy taking your hiking shoes, there are many paths to explore the coast from. Hop in your rental car and drive to Algendar Gorge which is nearby and runs for approximately 4 miles.
If you travel in the other direction, you will find yourself at Son Bou. Home to another one of Menorca's fine beaches, you can simply soak up the sunshine if you wish. Fantastic if you crave a change of scenery, try your hand at watersports or just enjoy a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants.
