Drive Further Afield
Mallorca is well-known for its golf courses and there are a good selection within a reasonable driving distance from Cala Millor. Capdepera Golf is set in truly wondrous surroundings, so you can enjoy the scenery as well as perfecting your game. There are also courses at Pula, Son Servera and Canyamel.
The local markets are a great place to head for those who like a bargain. Son Servera has a market every Friday and Arta on a Tuesday.
Drive along the coast until you reach Colonia de Sant Jordi, an area untouched by tourism and development. On your way back, any ornithologists amongst you should stop off at the Salt Pans where you’ll see a vast array of bird life.
If you’re looking for an alternative day out then a trip to the Cuevas del Drach (Dragon Caves) is in order. Home to one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world, Lake Martel, the caves are an eye-catching sight and a must see.
