If you fancy heading out on the water, there are a number of companies offering boat trips or charters so you can explore the coast properly.
Golfers should travel to Vall d’Or Golf Course and indulge in a round or two. Set in marvellous surroundings, this tranquil but challenging course is certainly worthy of a visit. There are also four more courses nearby once you have exhausted this one.
Travel Around the Area
Not for the faint-hearted, you may find the drive up to the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador a little scary, but it is worth it. It boasts breathtaking views over the area.
If you’re up for a day trip, head over to Mondrago Natural Park and get back to nature in an area protected against development. It certainly provides a welcome break from the coastal resorts.
If you are looking for something a little different, the Caves of Drac and Hams near Porto Cristo are worth a visit.
To enjoy more of the quieter side of Mallorca, journey along the coast to Cala Figuera. As with many of Mallorca’s resorts, it started out as a fishing village. If you want a taste of traditional Mallorcan life, a trip here provides a fantastic insight.
