Excellent service, excellent communication before arriving. I had a few queries which were answered very quickly. The hire car and insurance documents were emails out before we arrived. What I liked was there were no hidden costs, everything was up front and the insurance was covered with the cost of the car, we opted for a slightly higher level of cover which was very inexpensive. The deposit was very reasonable and it was paid back to my bank within 2 days.
I'd say it was one of the best hire car companies I have used, I would definitely recommend it.

Very pleased with the overall service, the only slight confusion was finding the Dollar outlet at Funchal Airport as it’s branded under Hertz.
I was especially happy with the service of the lady who processed our booking at the rental desk. I have my own car excess policy which she never questioned or gave me the usual hard sell of why I should take their excess insurance. I have had some pretty awful experiences in the past few years and been backed into a corner to buy extra insurance so was ready for a fight, but it wasn’t needed this time …

Excellent support from the team when flights got cancelled and was postponed two days. They managed to seamlessly liaise with the car hire company and to rearrange the booking and with regular updates.

The process of picking up/returning the car was seamless with Insularcar. There was no pressure or hassling with regard to extra charges etc, too often experienced with the larger car hire companies. Also, there were no worries or concerns of being fleeced with erroneous or fictitious claims about its status on return.
