Kayseri Airport is just on the outskirts of the city and the centre of Kayseri is easily reached in about 20 minutes with a hire car.

Kayseri is a fantastic place to visit, regardless of the season. Hit the slopes at Mount Erciyes during the winter months and marvel at this extinct, snow covered volcano. If you take a trip here during the warmer months of the year, there are plentiful hiking opportunities too.
Kayseri is a historic city packed full of ancient buildings to peruse. Gaze in awe at the wondrous constructions made from volcanic stone.
Day Trips From Kayseri
Make some time to visit the Sultan Han, a truly fascinating building located approximately 45km away. This is a fantastic example of a caravanserai located along the silk route. These were used to keep travellers safe from highwaymen while they were resting.
Visit the beautiful but striking Kapuzbasi Waterfall in Aladaglar National Park. If you take your hiking boots with you, there are many trails to embark on. The landscape is stunning and it is certainly worth spending a little time here.
Drive down to Spring Lake and take a look around the myriad of salt lakes located here. There is also a great selection of bird and plant life situated here.
Neighbouring Nevsehir is only a 90 minute drive away. Part of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage site so you will find many ancient settlements to look at. Full of open air museums, breathtaking valleys and buckets of history, a visit will not disappoint.
Whilst it is quite a way away, if you crave a day at the coast, head to Icel, also known as Mercel. Full of all of the typical draws of a beachside resort, wander through palm fringed beaches and soak up the sunshine.
