Visit the town of Setubal which is less than an hour’s drive away. It’s popular for dolphin watching next to the busy port, and there are also gorgeous sandy beaches, dunes and a pine forest at the southern end of the town. Parque Natural da Serra da Arrabida, the national park, is also close by.

Car lovers should undoubtedly discover Oerias. It’s home to the Ancient Automobile Museum which showcases ancient models from as early as 1930.

Discover the pretty coastal town of Cascais. The cobbled streets never fail to charm visitors and you can also enjoy the yacht harbour, small beaches, sea museum and also the castle ruins. There’s also a fish market each afternoon next to the harbour.

Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais can be found 40km inland, approximately 50 minutes away. It’s a stunning national park which you can discover on foot or by bicycle.
