Vilamoura Car Hire.

Venture around Vilamoura.

The Algarve has always been known for its natural beauty which makes it the perfect destination for beach holidays.

Head to Vilamoura to truly enjoy the luxury of this lovely region. Known as one of the largest tourist complexes in Europe and only 35 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport, arrange to hire a car and explore the bustling heart of the Algarve.

What’s on in Vilamoura?

Spend some time at the marina which is packed with restaurants serving delicious freshly-caught seafood dishes, shops and bars. Admire the wondrous yachts and boats or indulge in a spot of retail therapy at some of the designer stores.

If you enjoy a round of golf or two, Vilamoura is the perfect place. Surrounded by a vast array of golf courses, there is plenty here to challenge even the most seasoned golfer. Hop in your hire car and head to one of the nearby championship golf courses.

Make sure you stop off at one, if not more, of the stunning beaches here. There's Praia da Marina to the east of the marina, and Praia da Falésia to the west. If you are feeling energetic, why not partake in some water sports?

Where can I go in my Hire Car?

Nowhere in the Algarve is very far from Vilamoura so you can explore as much or as little as you want. Whilst Vilamoura holidays certainly offer everything you could want from a visit to the Algarve, there is plenty to explore just a stone’s throw from the resort!

Loulé, famous for its Saturday gypsy market and Brazilian style carnivals, is an interesting town to visit and a fantastic day out. It's home to a 14th Century castle and often has lively music festivals during the summer.

Take a drive via Faro to the beautiful Ria Formosa. This network of lagoons and marshland is protected on the seaward side by sandpit islands. Enjoy a 30 minute boat trip on a ferry from Faro to one of the beaches, like Culatra or Deserta, through the Ria Formosa and see what wildlife you can spot along the way.
