Day Trips From Malaga Airport

Torremolinos is a popular spot to visit and is just a short 15 minute drive away. One of the first resorts to be developed back in the sixties, it's now incredibly popular for its gorgeous sandy beaches and pulsing nightlife.

El Chorro gorge is a fascinating natural landmark located less than an hour's drive from the city. The entire area is fantastic for rock climbing but there are also some great hikes if you prefer something a little less adrenaline inducing! The "King's Walkway" which traipses across the height of the gorge offers the best of both worlds.

Drive your rental car to Fuengirola which is 25km south of the airport. It's a cosmopolitan town renowned for its choice of tapas bars and brilliant little boutiques, in addition to the gorgeous beaches.

Within 40 minutes, you will find yourself in the luxurious town of Marbella. With its small cobbled streets, it has the atmosphere of a quaint village. From here, visit Puerto Banus, a famous marina to the west of Marbella. Head to the shopping complex and spoil yourself.

Travel down the coast for just over an hour and you will reach Estepona, a town full of character and charm.
