Spend Some Time in Vigo
Travel to the south side of Pontevedra and journey to the medieval part of the city. Buildings such as the Pazo do Concello will entice you to explore further, but you must not miss simply relaxing in one of the Plazas.
If you are looking to relax on golden sands, then Vigo has plenty to offer. Punta Beach is very popular, so will generally be a bit on the busy side. If however you are looking for somewhere more tranquil, then why not head to Fontes or Carril Beach?

During the summer months, you can also visit the Atlantic Islands of Galicia. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use your hire car to get here, you’ll have to hop on one of the regular boats. Rodas Beach is certainly a highlight, but there are plenty of gems to unearth on each of the four archipelagos.
Head to La Coruna and stroll along its beautiful coastline-hugging promenade and soak up the views and bustling atmosphere. The harbour here is also well-worth a visit.
