Fun in Fuengirola
A large town and a popular holiday hotspot for European tourists, Fuengirola is home to plenty of great attractions. For something that will suit the whole family, head to the Bio Park. This recreated jungle is home to a vast array of animals for all to enjoy; a visit here makes a great day out.
Tour Fuengirola’s most iconic monument, Sohail Castle. Now a museum you’ll find a number of interesting exhibitions and displays explaining the history of the castle and the local area. During the summer months Sohail Castle is also used as an open air theatre and hosts a number of popular concerts and festivals.
For all your shopping needs head to the Fuengirola street market which takes place every Tuesday. One of the biggest outdoor markets on the Costa del Sol you’ll find a wide variety of merchandise on sale. Browse the stalls selling authentic Spanish dress and traditional Andalusian home ware for the perfect souvenir.
All seven of Fuengirola’s beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag distinction for the exceptional quality of the sea and sand. The beaches of Los Boliches and Torreblanca are great places to relax for the day with a selection of upmarket bars and restaurants close by.
