Best Bits of Los Gigantes
Take a walk around the town and then be sure to embark on one of the many whale and dolphin watching trips which depart from the marina. With 25 fantastic dive sites close to Los Gigantes, make sure you head below the waves on a scuba diving trip.
Walk to the neighbouring resorts of Puerto de Santiago and Playa de la Arena. Puerto de Santiago is rather tranquil and is home to a wonderful black sand beach. Playa de la Arena on the other hand also has some quiet bars and restaurants to try.

On your drive out of Los Gigantes, stop off at the Archipenque Mirador viewing point and immerse yourself in the views across the Teno Mountains.
Begin your ascent to the centre of the island where you will find the towering Mount Teide. A truly immense volcano, this is a trip that has to be made during any holiday to Tenerife.
Travel down the coast to the other popular resort of Los Cristianos where you will find golden sandy beaches as opposed to volcanic sand; a great area for swimming and beach sports. The resort of Playa de las Americas is also near here.
Drive around the perimeter of the eastern coast and stop off at the many beaches along your way. Head towards Santa Cruz for a wide variety of fantastic architecture, illustrated at the parliament buildings. If you are looking to grab a bargain or two, travel to the Plaza de España.
If you enjoy playing golf, there are a few courses in Tenerife that you should visit. Most are located to the south of the island such as Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf and Country Club.
