Discover Beziers.

With the border of Spain within a hair’s breadth of Beziers, sample the unique mixture of mountainous backdrops and traditional French towns.

Located just a short 20 minute drive from the centre of Beziers, it’s located at the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. Also known as Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport, you can collect a rental car here as soon as you land and explore this beautiful area.

Things to See and Do in Beziers

The town of Beziers is located in south western France, not far from the border with Spain. The town itself has a typically French feel, with leafy plazas linked by small winding streets and the smell of freshly baked bread never far from your nose.

During your stay, make sure you visit the prominent Beziers Cathedral, where you can gaze at the staggering architecture and take a tour of the inside. Alternatively, you can head to Fonserannes Lock, a staircase of locks on the Canal du Midi. This brilliant piece of engineering is well worth a visit and it is easy to watch it for many hours.

Day Trips From Beziers

Beziers is perfectly located with numerous other popular tourist destinations within easy reach. For example, Montpellier is only a stone's throw away. Also, close by you will find Camargue Marshes which are filled with Pink Flamingos, and for something a little different, discover the Pont du Gard, a large Roman Aqueduct.

If you take a drive along the coast towards the Spanish border you will find yourself in Perpignan. Here you can visit the Palais des Rois de Majorque, which is situated on a hill. Climb to the top of the Tour de l'Hommage for breathtaking views of the Pyrenees.

Alternatively, if you continue along the coast and cross the border into Spain, Barcelona is within distance. You can soak up the culture here and enjoy some tapas, before visiting the Sagrada Família and other attractions in the Gothic Quarter.
