Journey further to Gambetta Square where you can amble around the area nicknamed 'Little Paris.' Unearth as much as you can of this city which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day Trips From Bordeaux
France is of course a fantastic holiday destination and Bordeaux's excellent location means the possibilities are endless both in the region of Aquitaine and further afield. Collect your hire car and travel up the coast towards La Rochelle. Relax on the edge of the Bay of Biscay and stroll around the old harbour area lined by the city walls.
To the west of Bordeaux, the idyllic French coastline blessed with golden sandy beaches lies in wait. Biarritz is a worth a visit if you don’t mind the journey. Hit the beach and try your hand at a spot of surfing too. If you don't fancy anything quite as adventurous however don't despair, there are a plethora of museums to choose from and lively nightlife including two casinos.
