I have been using Keddy / Europcar at Girona Airport since 2017 without ever having a problem, but in July this year I made a mistake on booking the car and booked an electric vehicle, which was not suitable for me. As Keddy only had cars in the next price range I had to pay the difference to get a petrol car.
This time I had booked a Toyota Aygo which I was about to leave with, when the girl on the next desk recognized me and upgraded the car to an Audi A3 FOC as a kind gesture for the mix up in July.

The service provided by both Zest and Drivalia was very good. Collection was simple and return even easier.

Everything was excellent, upgraded to a Mercedes A Class for a small fee, lovely car just had a few scratches which weren't a problem

Great to be able to speak to a UK call centre (and get through quickly) - great about the excess cover as well - fortunately didn't have to use it! The staff at Drivalia in Girona were fantastic - no hard sells, smiley friendly people and great customer care - can honestly say best car hire company I have ever used.

I have been booking cars at Barcelona and Gerona Airports for more than forty years, and of all the Car Rental companies have found Thrifty to be the best, although a bit more expensive. I arrived at the Thrifty office at 1pm and I had the keys and documents in my hand at 6 minutes past 1pm. The weather was horrendous but as the car was undercover it was easy to inspect, and as the car was in excellent condition I was on my way within minutes.
On returning the car in the same condition as when I collected it, I received the the all clear / nothing to pay paperwork.
