Sightseeing in London and the UK

Despite people’s perception, a trip to London can be inexpensive. Many of the museums have free admission and you can spend almost a whole day absorbing the past. The Natural History Museum, based in South Kensington, has an array of exhibitions which will enthral and delight. The Dinosaur exhibition has 100s of specimens on display and discusses how dinosaurs evolved.

If you are looking for something a little bit different, the London Film Museum, based along the South Bank, is London’s only interactive museum dedicated to films. It houses original props and costumes from blockbusters; a must for film fans.

If museums aren’t your thing but you’re still looking for something cultural, why not take a trip to Covent Garden? The Royal Opera House is based there and is home to the Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet and with a number of events you are sure to be able to catch a performance during your trip. Covent Garden is also home to a number of street performers which you can watch from afar at one of the many street side cafés and restaurants.
