Why not visit Pollok Country Park? This beautiful park is a fantastic place to spend some time outdoors and wander by the river which runs through it. It is also home to the Burrell Collection. The collection is named after Sir William Burrell, the man behind many of the donations. There are over 8,000 pieces in the collection ranging from Chinese and Islamic art to artefacts from ancient civilisations. The collection is one of the largest ever to be created by one person and it is a must-see whilst you are in Glasgow.

If you love the natural environment then be sure to visit Glasgow’s Botanical Gardens. There is an extensive Heritage Trail here, which gives a great feel for everything going on. There are also a number of glasshouses including the famous Kibble Palace designed by John Kibble. It is now home to numerous exotic species and a range of large tree ferns.
