Head to the American Shooting Centre based in west Houston. It is equipped with a variety of facilities including rifle and pistol, trap and skeet and sporting clays. It should certainly provide an afternoon of entertainment.
Visit the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Centre which exhibits a range of displays and informative displays relating to various space missions NASA has conducted over the years. It also regularly hosts talks and offers the chance to meet former astronauts.
Go shopping at one of the many retail and shopping districts on offer in Houston, such as the Galleria. This is an upscale retail development located a short distance from the centre of Houston.
Explore the Downtown Aquarium in central Houston or Houston Zoo which is just a short distance away. Both offer plenty to do and see, displaying a range of animals and sea life. View everything from tigers and chimpanzees to stingrays and clownfish.

You must also visit The Woodlands which is just 30 minutes’ drive away. Filled with parks and trails which are perfect for a family day out, enjoy walking through Bluebonnet Meadow or have some fun at the water park here.
Journey to Spring. Hit the Victorian-style shops and grab yourself a bargain. Explore this historic railroad town which can be found close to the original rail yards from the 1900’s.
Further to the north but still in the state of Texas, you will find the city of Dallas. If you are visiting with the family, pop over to Dallas Zoo or the Aquarium. If you enjoyed the famous TV series then head over to Southfork Ranch.
