Manhattan is one of the best-known areas in the USA and the most popular borough of New York, the city that never sleeps.
Things to Do in Manhattan
One of New York City's most breathtaking and celebrated attractions, Central Park is a must-see for anyone visiting. Whether experienced during a fresh snowfall in the winter, the spectacular floral blossoms in spring, the steamy days of summer or the gorgeous, leaf-turning months of fall, it is a sight to behold.
See the bright lights of Time Square which stretches from 42nd to 47th Street. It is also home to Broadway, where you can take in a show, and those famous billboards.
Soak up New York's most breathtaking views from its highest open-air observatory at the Empire State Building. Alternatively take a trip to the Rockefeller Centre and go to ‘the Top of the Rock’ to its observation deck for a fantastic all-round view of Manhattan.
Spend a day exploring the selection of excellent museums on offer such as the Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the American Museum of Natural History.
If shopping’s your thing, head to 5th Avenue, where you’ll find many designer shops including Gucci, Armani, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany’s. High street names include Gap, Benetton and Abercrombie & Fitch or head to the department stores Bloomingdales or Macys.
