Take your hire car and drive across the famous Brooklyn Bridge, one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. It connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River.
New York also has a number of famous parks such as Central Park which covers 778 acres in Manhattan. There are a wide variety of things to see and do there. Other important city parks include Prospect Park, a 585 acre park in Brooklyn and Bryant Park located in Manhattan.

Across the Hudson River from Manhattan is Jersey City and nearby Newark Liberty Airport. Jersey City is great for everything from day trips to nightlife. Ice skating during the winter months is another thing worth taking time out for.
Drive over to Stamford and follow Interstate 95 passing through New Rochelle and Greenwich. Once in the city of Stamford explore points of interest including Cummings Park and the National Cartoon Museum, a museum dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of cartoons, comic strips and animation.
Philadelphia is the largest city in the state of Pennsylvania and second largest city on the east coast of America. It is easily accessible if you rent a car and explore. With a very active nightlife, as well as an array of restaurants and cuisines, you'll find more on offer than just the famed Philly cheesesteaks and soft pretzels.
